Whitelabel Training Program
FE has the opportunity to white label a training program for modern AI development practices.
Project Goals:
Offer up-skilling and best practices education to earn a certificate they can use to demonstrate competency and validation from Microsoft while encouraging use of Microsoft tooling.
Key Topics:
HVE — the method, applied across GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Foundry and Microsoft Fabric
Environment:
The client mentioned the need for an easy to set up and use environment for developers. More details at the link.
Target Audience:
Consulting firms (ex. PWC) Will likely touch on both software engineers and project managers.
Technical Level:
This is a large program so will likely have multiple levels of technical proficiency. → Learner Personas
Questions
One-liner (draft)
A Microsoft-branded in-person certification program, built and taught by Frontier Engineering engineers. It trains consulting firms (e.g. PwC) in frontier AI engineering on GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Foundry and Microsoft Fabric, using HVE Core. Microsoft issues the certificate.
Status — 2026-11-03
- Microsoft is filing an internal staffing issue to enable the project
- Funding, approval and marketing terms are in negotiation; a trial program is expected soon
- Scale ambition: up to 10,000 people trained → Scale and Capacity Model

| Role | Who | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| Brand owner, issuer | Microsoft | Partner ecosystem able to deliver Copilot/Foundry/Fabric at frontier level |
| Builder & instructor | Frontier Engineering | Program revenue, credibility, FDE pipeline |
| Learner organization | Consulting firms | Certified people as a market distinction (firm-level terms TBD) |
| Learner | Engineers, data people, PMs, engagement leads (mixed levels) | Microsoft-issued certificate + hands-on capability |
Decided
See Decision Log for dates and reasons.
- Microsoft issues the certificate; individuals earn it
- Microsoft-branded workshops; Frontier engineers teach
- Earned through an in-person workshop + practical, not an exam; benchmark Claude Frontier Academy
- HVE = Microsoft’s open-source HVE Core
- Environment must be plug-and-play → Environment
Still open
See Questions. Biggest blockers:
- What a firm may claim from its certified people (^q-017)
- Deployment phase structure, leaning yes (^q-018)
- Role paths for a mixed audience (^q-004) → Learner Personas
- Delivery at 10,000-person scale (^q-024)
- Funding, approval process, marketing terms — 🔄 with Microsoft
Strategic fit
- HVE is the differentiator: we certify a repeatable agentic engineering method across code, AI apps/agents and data, not product feature tours
- Teaching consultants to run client engagements is Frontier’s FDE model, productized
Success measures (draft)
- Trial: 1 firm cohort delivered, Microsoft sign-off, NPS ≥ 50, ≥ 80% pass the practical
- Program: # certified individuals, # firms participating, client deployments led by certified people
- Microsoft: attributable Copilot/Foundry/Fabric adoption from certified-firm engagements
