In-Person Workshop Playbook

Proposed default shape
- Cohort 12–20 learners · 1 lead instructor + 1 TA per ~10 learners for hands-on days
- Rhythm: ~20% talk / 80% hands-on; every concept followed by a lab within 15 minutes
- Day ends with a short demo-out by learners
T-minus checklist
T-4 weeks
- Confirm roster, roles, and persona mix
- Confirm tenancy & licenses → Environment
- Client IT: network allows GitHub, Azure, model endpoints, Fabric; laptops allow VS Code extensions T-2 weeks
- Send pre-work + setup checker via course platform
- Provision lab environments; test with a learner account from the client network if possible T-3 days
- Setup checker completion ≥ 90% (chase the rest)
- Pin content version; print facilitator guide Day-of
- Wi-Fi capacity, power strips, screen, backup hotspot
- Backup plan: cloud dev environments (Codespaces) if laptops fail After
- Survey within 24h · materials & recordings on platform · assessments graded within 1 week
- Tear down / pause paid resources
